Adams Community,

I am so lucky to be able to be part of such a great school. The staff at Adams is second to none. I do not believe there is a more solutions oriented group of teachers anywhere. It has been so refreshing to be able to discuss issues and focus on solutions.

Our end of the year testing is coming up. Please be sure to help your students arrive on time and prepared to take a test. Be sure that they eat a good breakfast and have gotten plenty of sleep. These tests are important to our school. However, I know that one single test is not a good measure of all the things a student has learned over the course of the school year. Many of those things cannot be measured on a single test. I am very proud of the effort and success that our teachers have exhibited this school year. Our teachers are truly second to none.

I like to sit with the students in the cafeteria while they are eating lunch and visit with them. One of my favorite questions to ask them is “what do you like about our school?” I get some of the best answers from them, and appreciate the feedback. I asked a third grader this question a few days ago and she told me “I like Adams because I get to learn new things. My teacher is so nice and we get to learn by having fun!” It is so great to hear a student just LOVING school. We love teaching your children and want all of our students to be that excited to come to school every day.
